PHILOSOPHY
Jaier’s Mission: AJFC is dedicated to organizing a focused path for the total development of soccer players
in Southwest Michigan, providing them with the opportunity to play at the highest level of competition possible. Success will
not be based on winning or losing. Rather, success will be measured by player development and opportunity.
Jaier’s Focus - “CREATING
CONFIDENCE”
The total development of the individual player and their successful relationship to competition is the goal of AJFC.
This is achieved by addressing the four major aspects of a soccer player’s development: TECHNICAL, TACTICAL, PHYSICAL, and MENTAL.
Only after focusing on these four areas will the player develop total control of the game of soccer, thus CREATING CONFIDENCE.
PLAYER
SELECTION
AJFC uses a variety of methods to select players for its teams from tryouts to scouting but one idea will remain constant,
we need to see them play. When our coaches are assessing players for selection to our teams the criteria they use will focus
on four traits: Commitment, Ability, Passion, and Focus. If the player has these four traits then they will have a place in
our program.
COMPETITION
AJFC is committed to seeking out the highest level of competition possible for our players to test themselves
against. In the past our teams have competed against state, regional, and even national champions. It is neccessary to
seek out this competition to enhance the development of our players. Sometimes it is neccessary to travel to find this competition.
Our teams will be registered through U.S. Club Soccer or USYSA and will compete in the Michigan Champion’s League, Michigan State
League, Grand Valley Soccer Association, West Michigan Youth Soccer Association, and tournaments throughout the Midwest Region.
CLUB
INFO
Jaier is focused on maintaining its philosophy on player development as players progress through our club. The level of
commitment required from the player will depend on their age. It would be unwise to create the same training environment
for a U16 player that you would for a U13 player. As a result of this philosophy some age groups have different goals and levels
of commitment, training, and competition.
